Located in the High Sierras above Lake Tahoe, Torlo is a snowboard brand setting a new standard for the quality and performance of gear made for female riders. Unlike traditional snowboard companies, Torlo builds products based on a true understanding of what is different about female biomechanics as it relates to the design of snowboard equipment, with a meticulous approach that accounts for female anthropometrics, kinetics, and physiology. In addition to equipment, Torlo will sponsor a snowboard club—T.O.R. (Torlo Owners & Riders)—which offers benefits ranging from member-only rides and skills clinics to milestone recognition and charity work.
"Equality is giving everyone the same pair of shoes. Equity is giving everyone a pair of shoes that fit."
Torlo’s mission is to push the performance of women's snowboarding (and the sport itself) by providing precision gear based on a true understanding of female biomechanics as it relates to the design of snowboard equipment.
A NEW STANDARD IN GEAR
MADE FOR FEMALE RIDERS
"Women account for only 3% of participants in sport science studies. It’s the biomedical equivalent of "pink it and shrink it.”
Torlo’s vision is to inspire a new standard—across categories and brands—for the quality and performance of gear made for women by delivering innovative equipment based on a scientific understanding of the biomechanics, physiology, and experience of female athletes and athletic performance.
